Honey & Mumford - Quiz
Ever wondered what learner type you were?
Or perhaps you wondered what your own students’ learning preferences are so you can make your own lessons more interesting and engaging.
Perhaps you need to find out how you like to learn so that your lessons aren’t biased towards your own preferences instead of your learners!
Well, why not take our COMPLETELY FREE ONLINE Honey & Mumford Learner Types Quiz?
What are the Honey & Mumford Learner Types? Peter Honey and Alan Mumford took inspiration from Kolb’s Learning Cycle in the ’70s and built on it. They used their own terminology, which is (Activist, Reflector, Theorist and Pragmatist). Therefore, these 4 terms and the associated research and theory are their intellectual property.
Their learner types are very popular and are widely used by teachers and students worldwide to determine how an individual learns best. We have a specialised course to train teachers to manage learners with different learning styles. As with all personality and intelligence testing, there are things to be aware of when using this questionnaire. As we are all individuals, we may not be defined by one definition. This quiz will only display your highest-ranking learner type. The original quiz uses 80 questions and gives a more detailed breakdown of your preference of all 4 learner types.
The quiz is not meant as a substitute for the detailed 80-item questionnaire available directly from Peter Honey’s or Alan Mumford’s websites. It is a fun, adapted guide to help you get a quick assessment of your dominant learner type. You might also want to know about your Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic preferences to learn things. Usually, one method is more dominant than others. Take the VAK Learner Types Quiz to learn more about your dominant learning style.
If you want to listen to our qualified tutors, check out our podcast channel ELN Ed Chat. We discuss everything from Teacher Training, Assessment, Beauty, Fitness, Health & Safety, Special Needs, Quality Assurance, CPD and much more.
You may have scored highly on other less dominant learner types as well. If you would like more detailed information, please Contact Us with your name and email address associated with your quiz results.
