You do not require any previous teaching experience or qualification in order to do this L4 Train the Trainer course. However, you will need to evidence 30 hours of teaching or training in your specilaist area while you study for the course.
Your personal tutor will have a 1:1 interview with you before you begin the CET course to discuss any possible exemptions based on prior learning or experience. Your tutor will also guide you on the assignment and observation requirements. You will have the same personal tutor throughout your studies ensuring prompt and personalised support.
We offer the full range of 28 Ofqual approved optional units, unlike other providers who provide only a few pre-set units.
Also unlike other providers we offer self-paced flexibility. There's no undue pressure due to unrealistic short deadlines, while allowing you to complete and get certified quickly if you need to.
Level 4 CET (CTLLS) Online Course Requirements
The Level 4 CET course is available for all candidates who fulfil the following criteria:
Age range: 19+
Core skills: There are no formal entry requirements for this training course however candidate must have reading and writing skills in order to complete the course.
Access to Internet using a laptop / pc / tablet using up to date Windows, Android or Apple operating systems.
Access to 30 hours to teaching (paid or voluntary) while you work through your CET / CTLLS qualification.
3 hours must be assessed. We can assess via Zoom or video recording, or authorise a suitably qualified person in your company to observe you on our behalf.

Unit 1: Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training

Unit 2: Planning to meet the Needs of Learners in Education and Training

Yes, our Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a BTEC qualification awarded by Pearson Edexcel.
You can volunteer or work part-time, full-time or freelance to complete the teaching hours for CET while studying the course. We are not currently providing placements but most candidates are able to find voluntary/part-time work at a local college.
Pearson Edexcel and NOCN operate under Ofqual and offer the same qualification so this is purely a matter of which brand you prefer. Pearson is widely recognised in the UK and abroad, however, there is no difference between the qualification content, delivery or assessment.
Yes, the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training qualification is developed to cater to the post-16 years vocational sectors that you have expertise in.
This Level 4 Train the Trainer course can be done by beginners as well as experienced trainers - you just need to complete the required 30 hours of teaching practice during your course.
For this CET course, you can focus on teaching older 16+ students.
The candidate needs to be able to teach 30 hours within a structured training environment. Primary school students will be too young; it needs to be higher secondary 16+ learners. Otherwise, if you wish to get into teaching younger students check out these courses.
Yes, you can use teaching hours from any educational institutes where you teach once you can prove you actually did them (witness testimony, signed teaching logs etc) and they total at least 30 hours altogether.
