End-Point Assessment - EPA Assessor Course Overview

Who is this course suitable for?

The Level 3 Award for End-point Assessors equips you with the knowledge and skills to carry out end-point assessment in the sector you operate in. This qualification is right for you if you wish to gain a more specialised understanding of how to carry out assessments for Apprentices in your area.

If you are interested in becoming a full assessor for other qualifications, not apprenticeships, then please see our TAQA Assessor courses.

What do I need to become and End Point Assessor?

You can study this course if you are planning on delivering or are already conducting end-point assessments. You do not need any other assessor qualification prior to studying this course, but you will need access to two learners doing apprenticeships while studying your EPA Award.

If you do not have access to 2 apprentices who you can assess while studying this Apprenticeship Assessor course then we recommend you do the theory unit only called the L3 Award in Understanding EPA.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a more holistic understanding of the assessment process instead of only focusing on end-point assessment, our Level 3 CAVA course might be a better fit for you. This course will enable you to assess a range of qualifications in addition to Apprenticeships e.g. NVQ or RQF courses.

What kind of EPA job can I do after this End Point Assessor Course?

Once you've completed the qualification, you can progress to a role as an end-point assessor in beauty, construction, fitness, health & social care, education and more. You can even get work with an Awarding Organisation in the UK as an Independent End-Point Assessor.
